AFTER WEB

follows Tasha, a 26-year-old social media influencer who gains fame by livestreaming her interactions and exploiting others for views. Her behaviour becomes increasingly reckless, mocking and embarrassing people for entertainment. However, her life takes a dark turn when she is kidnapped and held captive by Alison, the wife of a man she humiliated online. As Tasha struggles to survive, she livestreams her captivity, only for her followers to dismiss her cries for help as a prank. In the end, she is abandoned in a public park, where a crowd films her as she dies, more interested in the spectacle than offering any real help. The story critiques the dangerous consequences of online fame and the dehumanization that comes with using others for social media gain.

About the production

I began this project with clear visualization, using the 3D tool Cinetracer to create a detailed storyboard that shaped the entire production. From there, I wrote the screenplay, ensuring the dialogue and scenes aligned with the visual concepts. I broke down the script into a precise shot list and conducted location scouting to find real-world spaces that matched my vision.
This project was about more than just directing and camera work; it involved a deep integration of lighting, set design, staging, wardrobe, and colour choices to enhance the narrative. Every decision was intentional, crafting a three-dimensional space that resulted in a cohesive and immersive cinematic experience.
