HELLO,

Thanks for dropping in! I’m Saroj, a cinematographer and camera operator with a deep passion for storytelling through visuals. I work across feature films, television, and commercials, bringing not just technical precision but a creative vision shaped by years of exploration and hands-on experience.
My creative journey began at the age of 17 with a love for graphic design. It was through this path that I discovered 3d animation, captivated by the magic of Hollywood films and the way light and motion brought digital worlds to life. I pursued a degree in 3D animation, where I learned the science behind lighting, how it influences mood, enhances storytelling, and brings depth to a scene. This technical foundation sharpened my eye for detail and taught me how light interacts with surfaces to shape mood and tone. At the same time, I picked up editing, which helped me develop an instinct for coverage, pacing, and storytelling. I often visualize edits on set, enabling faster production workflows and more intentional shots.
While I was immersed in the world of animation, I had a profound realization, my true calling wasn’t in creating virtual spaces, but in capturing the real world through a lens. I found my passion in filmmaking, where I could feel the light, direct the movement, and connect emotionally with the stories I was helping tell.
Since making my first film in 2011, I’ve continued to grow as a filmmaker, drawing from every discipline I’ve studied from graphic design to animation to editing. My background gives me a unique edge: Years spent mastering composition, color, and light have taught me that every frame matters. I approach every project as a collaborator, an extra set of eyes for the director, and someone who genuinely cares about bringing the story to life with clarity, emotion, and cinematic beauty. And with editing always in mind, I shoot with precision, knowing exactly what’s needed to tell the story efficiently and powerfully. Today, I’m grateful for the journey that’s brought me here, and I bring that same passion, humility, and dedication to every project I work on. Whether it’s a film, a series, or a commercial, I’m all in, focused on delivering stunning visuals that move people and elevate stories.
